LABOR AND MATERIAL RATES

Labor is billed up to the minute and includes time to layout, tool-up, fit, weld, grind, and/or clean your project. This may also include design time and drafting fees.  If we install something for you it will be billed at this rate. This rate will be in addition to any material that your project requires.  

This includes media or garnet as well the labor to unload, prep, and blast 

Billed from port-to-port and does not include any materials or consumables. This rate is applied to any project that is placed on a rush or performed outside the hours of Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm.  

We stock a wide range of tubing, pipe, plate, angle, and bar.  Depending on the footage and material type, costs can range between $1-$4 per pound. Material rates do not include cutting or bending which are billed out as service labor above. 

This rate is for generic colors like black, tan, or beige.  Higher end finishes such as chromes or metallics may see an increase of $1-$3 per square foot. 

This rate is for a  generic or simple custom railing.  This  will vary depending on complexity, coatings, and pitch of railing.  

This rate is for steel stringers and all guard/grab railings as required by code. This is for generic straight stair cases. Spirals, landings, or other unique design features may increase this cost.  

This rate is generally what we see for 4ft - 6ft canopies or awnings over doorways or windows.

This rate is generally what we see for each column or each beam on structural steel projects such as decks, mezzanines, or ground-up buildings. 

This rate is generally what we see for a set of trash enclosure gates made with an L-Angle frame and steel decking welded to 4" or 6" posts. This rate includes posts but core drilling or burying the posts is not included.  

This rate is typical of a 4" or 6" sch 40 pipe bollard primed and delivered to site.  This rate does not include install, paint, or fill.

This rate is typical of bumper, hitch, trailer, or small automotive repairs or modifications.  Repairs are charged on a time and material basis and include set-up, clean-up, and billing time.

We are a custom fabrication shop.  Everything we do is from scratch.  We do not stock railing or premanufactured components.  It is exceedingly rare for us to make something cheaper than what you've seen on Amazon or other online retailers. However, if the item simply needs a small modification in order to work for your needs, that is a perfect job for us.
